Over 100 people gathered

 

 

Edinboro-McKean VFW Post 740 provided the honor guard

 

Richard (Bud) Wheeler, master of ceremonies, and the Rev. George G. Walker, gave the Invocation and Benediction

Thomas Schultz narrated Civil War history

 

Gladys (Bateman) Jones received an award for her work researching the Civil War Veterans

A bell was rung for each name inscribed on the stone and the 111th and 145th Pennsylvania Vol. Infantry fired a salute for those killed in action

Many Wheeler family members are veterans of the Civil War and those wars that followed.  Wheeler family descendants received special recognition

President George W. Bush sends a letter honoring the dedication
