Let’s face it. We all hate paying taxes.
But taxes are necessary to
fund government.
What citizens
often don’t realize is: "everything that government does requires tax money."

Why we can’t always do
what you want
When a citizen
suggests that something should be done, local government officials must weigh
the request with all the other citizen demands made. When the demands exceed
available tax revenues, two choices exist—raise taxes or don’t do it.
Local government
officials are conscientious and very reluctant to raise taxes. They resist
efforts to make government bigger, which costs more money. They constantly
strive to "do more with less."
If you feel that
you should pay more taxes to Franklin Township to have a certain government
service. Please tell us!
